In this episode Allen and Chris run in a straight line from a crashing space ship, but in this case the crashing space ship is the don’t-call-it-a-prequel-to-Alien-even-though-it’s-a-prequel-to-Alien film Prometheus.
Finally after years of sequels and spin-offs that didn’t quite cut the mustard (with the obvious exception of the James Cameron masterpiece, Aliens) Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created with 1979’s Alien. With a big budget and a great filmmaker at the helm it’s everything Allen and Chris would have wished for…. so why are they so disappointed?
We talk Space jockeys, unscientific scientists, the pseudo science of Chariots Of The Gods, Fassbender O’Toole, Idris Elba’s squeezebox, Charlize Theron’s efficiency, Weyland Corp’s HR Policy and Alien Vs Predator Vs Reason Vs Faith Vs Damon Lindelof.
